Ohio Wesleyan University's Office of Multicultural Student Affairs celebrated KuShinda (to be victorious) April 23 to recognize outstanding OWU student leadership, academic achievement, and community impact. Congratulations to everyone honored!

Dozens of students recognized for their leadership on campus through Student Life and Greek awards.

Nearly 60 Ohio Wesleyan University students spent spring break participating on one of OWU's seven Interfaith Service teams. Chad Johns, director of the Interfaith Service program, said the student-created teams incorporate "intentional service and reflection with people of diverse faiths, philosophies, and perspectives [to] deepen our understanding of ourselves and each other, even as we work to improve the world around us."

Siena Water Polo's Kennedy Joseph earned MAAC weekly awards. Kennedy was named Defensive Player of the Week.

Students who receive a term grade point average of 3.6 or higher while completing at least 3 course credits during the fall 2016 semester earn the Dean's Award with Distinction.

Nearly 400 students were named to Fort Lewis College's Dean's List for the Spring 2016 semester. These students took at least 15 credits of gradable hours and achieved a 3.60 or higher grade point average.

A total of 11,758 students enrolled during the 2016 fall semester at The University of Alabama were named to the Dean's List with an academic record of 3.5 (or above) or the President's List with an academic record of 4.0 (all A's). The UA Dean's and President's lists recognize full-time undergraduate students. The lists do not apply to graduate students or undergraduate students who take less than a full course load.

Several local residents made the academic Deans' List at Azusa Pacific University. These students are honored for a fall 2016 grade-point average of 3.5 or better. They are joined by 2,175 students receiving the same honor.

Concordia University, Nebraska held its 109th commencement on Saturday, May 7, 2016. The university awarded undergraduate or graduate degrees to 353 graduates in May 2016. Graduates receiving a degree in December 2015, May 2016 or August 2016 were invited to participate in the ceremony. Colonel Eric J. Teegerstrom of Firth, Nebraska, presented the commencement address, and Concordia presented additional honorary awards and degrees.

Georgia State University graduated more than 5,700 students receiving bachelor's, master's and specialist's degrees at the university's spring and summer commencement on Saturday, May 9 in the Georgia Dome.
